I have 25 Years experience of Teaching English, the most recent full time classroom post being at Ipswich School. I formed my company in June 2013 and I now work full time offering one-to-one Private tuition in Ipswich. I teach from Key Stage 2 entrance to grammar and private school education, (Years 5 and 6), Key Stage 3 (Year 7, 8 and 9) improvers, Key stage 4, G.C.S.E. with experience in several different examining boards and Key Stage 5 (AS and A level). I continue to work as an examiner/moderator for AQA and have five Years' experience of internal coursework moderation.Currently, I teach after school in the week and some classes on Saturday and Sunday. During the days, I offer supply teaching occasionally and have worked in a variety of local schools. I also teach mature students and home school students during the day. I am very successful with individuals on the autism spectrum, dyspraxic or dyslexic, and I am familiar with Irlens' syndrome. One of my most rewarding achievements was to help a student with autism achieve an A and A* grade for GCSE. I achieved success in 2015, 2016 and 2017 for my A level students who have gained their first choice University places and desired A level grades. In 2015 2 A level students moved up three grades to achieve A*. A younger student won a poetry competition and has had his work published. I have had 100% exam success and four students achieved scholarships in 2015.
