This is truly an amazing community which I would encourage everyone to experience if you get the chance!My role as a scientist in the immunofluorescence group has given me the chance to give presentations and provide training to coworkers, distributors, and customers both within the US and abroad. I also help to validate antibodies for use in immunofluorescence assays with a team of awesome people both by providing expertise to newer group members, providing secondary review for challenging projects, and performing my own research. I have also been given the chance to participate in and support several marketing initiatives which has helped me to understand how much thought goes into the marketing efforts of the companies we interact with! This role also allows me to provide technical support directly to our customers as they experience challenges with their work and it is fascinating to learn more about and assist with the challenges that scientists working in the field are facing.

Researched several topics in immunology including the role of p63 in TEC differentiation and thymus function, regulation of Bmp4 during thymus development, and how Tbx1 impacts thymus fate.Developed and optimized protocols to obtain better results with fewer reagents.
