About Virginia Acha

Ginny has had three careers (so far!) that might not have been planned, but make perfect sense in the end. As a consultant supporting Eastern Europe after the Wall came down, she gained deep insights in drivers and disablers of innovation and the fundamental importance of innovation to our shared future. This inspired her to change tack on a planned PhD to focus on innovation in the mid-90s at SPRU and pursue a career in academia. Ginny loved the opportunity to inquire, research and challenge (and teach!), but in 2007, she decided it was time to pull the curtain back to see exactly how things get done. Courtesy of an old PhD friend, she took the plunge to work in Pharma in policy across different companies and levels of representation, and areas of focus (now in Regulatory Policy). The running thread through all of these stages is the exploration of innovation and the impact our human endeavour for progress can have on our global society. See? Told you it made sense.
