Eventually, the company was acquired, and I was recruited to work at my first job in tech. Once I joined my first role in tech at Stockwell, I was delighted there until the company laid off staff and closed. This happened in 2020, and I started consulting since the industry was facing unstable and uncertain times. I eventually decided to try my luck by co-founding a startup. After not securing enough funding and a lack of resources, I was successfully recruited to work at Workday to work contract-to-hire. I hoped Workday would be my long-term role, and I was laid off due to a staff reduction while most companies were performing mass layoffs. I have been a freelance consultant for Hive and a seasonal recruiter for Intuit. Currently, I am working for Unlimit Ventures. I am open to exploring long-term, full-time, direct hire, W2 opportunities as Unlimit Ventures is a 1099 role where my hours fluctuate between 5 and 25 per week.
