I taught Yoga at this lovely studio from the day it was opened by Original Owner Ingrid Yang. It was eventually bought by Kate Stankavage and its current Owner is Sara Doyle.I taught multiple levels of Yoga classes from Vinyasa/Flow, beginner's courses, intermediate, advanced and filled in for teaching Pre-Natal Classes. It was an excellent clientele ~ we had a variety of yoga students and, because of the proximity to Duke University, our classes attracted Duke students, staff, workers and more!Through this fantastic Studio, I had the privilege of teaching off-site for Blue Point as well; prestigious schools such as Durham Academy (for students & teachers) to Smith Warehouse offices, affiliated with Duke University. I had some private clients at the Blue Point Studios location.

I was a Yoga Teacher at this beautiful Studio when the business was first opened in Carrboro by original Owner Donia Robinson. I taught multiple classes ranging from Vinyasa/Flow to beginner's classes as well as advanced classes. The Ownership later changed over to Sage Rountree, who currently still owns the Company. It now goes by the name "Carolina Yoga Company" and has 3 locations. Sage is a well known Yoga Teacher, who has written books, made dvd's, specializes in 'Yoga for Athletes' and, as a runner herself, has profound expertise with that area. I was honored to take her "Yoga for Athletes" Workshop and had a wonderful time subbing her Yoga Classes now and then for USC Football Team!

I had amazing clients ranging from Duke University professors, DU Coaches, Lawyers, Doctors, Duke University students, staff and more.I treasure this experience as it was here that I discovered my passion for teaching Privately, one on one. It is the most valuable forum that a student can safely and more efficiently progress in their Yoga practice. It is also incredibly rewarding to experience a student's growth specific to their own bodies and abilities. The learning curve is much more profound. I love tailoring the Yoga program to a specific client's needs, which encompasses their physical bodies, profession, daily routines and individual perspectives.

I was a Yoga Teacher at the 4 branches of the Durham YMCA's~ Most of my numerous classes were at the DT Foster St. branch and the American Tobacco Campus. I taught everything from Vinyasa/Flow to beginners, intermediate, advanced and mixed levels. I had a huge following- My classes usually had between 30-40 members. My fitness directors put me in charge of the Yoga Program~ I would 'audition' and make strong recommendations for hiring other Yoga Instructors. The interest and passion for our Yoga program of classes grew strongly over the years that I worked there.I treasure my experiences teaching at this YMCA as I really evolved as a Yoga Teacher through the diversity of members~ various ages, backgrounds, sports/athletic skills and especially learned from those who had limitations and physical challenges. I also taught classes for 'Active Older Adults' tailoring the Yoga program to encourage participation with a feeling of safety and always, non-judgment of others.
