Consulting in Sleep and Biological Rhythms.

My research focused on 2 major projects:1- The analysis of biological rhythms and sleep during the Deep Time project (15 people who lived in the Lombrives cave for 40 days) carried out in March 2021.2- The analysis of pre and post-trail sleep as well as the benefits of naps during the Clécy Scientific Trail in November 2021

Project title: "The positive effect of light on food preferences and glucose metabolism in mice"

Supervise saliva samples analysis from clinical studies using Elisa tests.

Project title: "Dawn simulation as a passive countermeasure to postural hypotension in healthy older adults" Write and review study projects, submit it to IRB, design the clinical study protocols. Recruit participants through internet and flyer advertisement and increased it by intervention/talks in senior center.  Interview them on the phone and in person, sign the consent form, explain the study, schedule their participation and manage their compensation. Run the study at night, place electrodes, perform cognitive and balance test, collect saliva sample.  Score and analyze their electroencephalogram, heart rate, blood pressure and cognitive test and present them at scientific conferences. Write the final report.

My thesis project is titled: Genotype dependent effects of light on alertness, cognitive performance, mood, circadian markers and sleep in young and older volunteers. Recruit participants through internet and flyer advertisement.  Interview them on the phone and in person, sign the consent form, explain the study and schedule their participation.  Extract DNA from saliva sample and genotype participant via PCR. Run the study at night, place electrodes, perform cognitive and balance test, collect saliva sample.  Perform Elisa test to analyze saliva Melatonin and Cortisol. Score and analyze their electroencephalogram, heart rate, blood pressure and cognitive test and present them at scientific conferences. Write the final report.
