About Virpi Keränen

I have over 20 years of experience in projects: planning, coordination and implementation. I also have over 13 years of experience in tourism development, tourism marketing and sales. In addition to these, my strengths are networking, especially in multilateral networks and knowledge of the Kainuu business field. I have been working on Kainuu's Smart Specialization strategy in cooperation with the provinces of Eastern and Northern Finland. I was also developing a Kainuu foresight operating model. Nowadays, I work as a tourism developer in Iijoki.In free time, I have been an active player in a sports club for years and an experienced club sports director. I have also been SUL's central council since 2021. Nowadays I work as a coach and I'm studying psychological coaching.
