I have been performing Due Diligence and Analysis on Fintech Focused Blockchain companies for VC and PE firms. I started doing this since I lived inside the product direction and promotion of a project which I helped to promote a Blockchain Trading Product in 2018 that raised $30m for an ICO. This project was then exposed as a potential ICO Exit Scam in late 2018. Given this insight, I became keenly aware of how scams look from the inside where ICOs and Blockchain Products are concerned. I've watched the market mature over the course of almost two years and I have a deep understanding of how Blockchain Products work in practice.

I worked with the Executive Team, Marketing Team and Engineering Team as a consultant to produce a beta version of the Blockchain Terminal Product. This included a great deal of travel to conferences, events and meetings around the world to demonstrate the possibilities that a High-Volume Cryptocurrency Trading Platform could provide to the burgeoning cryptocurrency trading market. Though I was not directly involved in their ICO or the sale of their tokens, I helped to provide technical support and advice to the team based on feedback acquired during the roadshow. Despite raising $31m, the project has yet to deliver a working product. There has been a series of negative press articles concerning the product which could mean that this product may never be launched.

We (Nimblestack Inc.) built a proof of concept of a chatbot on Facebook Messenger for Fareportal/CheapOair.

I traveled around with AngelHack to support white-label hackathons by providing technical support and pitch coaching to the participants. Our main goal was to contribute to all things related to creating a great hackathon experience.

I traveled around with AT&T hackathons to support the M2X platform. I also contributed to pitch coaching and all things related to creating a great hackathon experience. We also built a demo based on AT&T's M2X platform and Arduino hardware.

I set up Clickslide with my co-founder, Aaron Franco, to create tools for app builders. We quickly realised, however, that what would be attractive to the market-place would be to create an API only architecture that would allow front-end developers to build full-stack apps at prototype speeds. We invented this architecture and, once CTOs understood that what we were doing was possible, need to be able to show that this was a suitable replacement for the traditional apps development workflow. All it needed was the second half of the investment promised by its Lead Investor to allow the refinement from prototype product to fully developed product. The company was poised for success.And yet it failed. Why it failed is a story worth telling because it’s an object lesson for entrepreneurs in the need to develop the right strategy when looking for investment. We were initially supported by 3 private investors and then acquired a Lead Investor, Ariadne Capital. We had agreed our capital need with Ariadne and duly received the 1st half of that investment. What we didn’t realise was that although this purported to come from a named investment fund, there was no further money in it and it was not able to pay the balance of the capital need we had agreed. Ariadne had insisted on being granted Preference Shares, which meant we could only seek outside investment with its approval. This Ariadne refused to give. What’s more, the board came to the conclusion that our Lead Investor had made it virtually impossible to grow the business and we were being starved into submission. In April 2015 we were left with no other choice but to dissolve the company and put it into voluntary liquidation.
