Collaborated on multiple grants and projects within the Autonomous-Connected Mobility Evaluation and Transit Safety and Workforce Development programs. Performed data analytics (in R, VBA) targeted towards behavioral- and mobility-based solutions in Tampa using data generated from the Tampa connected vehicle (CV) pilot project. Developed and calibrated microsimulation models in TransModeler using CV datasets to explore real-time deployment of congestion mitigation strategies. Developed big data execution strategies and performed project evaluations for several Federal Transit Administration (FTA) safety research and demonstration programs.

Course instructor for CE 240-Geomatics. Developed course material and guided students through the core principles of surveying and global positioning systems. Emphasized surveying techniques, equipment, safety, and interaction with ArcGIS.

Lab teaching assistant for the CE 240-Geomatics course. Guided students through the basic concepts and use of surveying equipment such as the Auto-level, Theodolite, GPS, and Robotic Total Station. Integrated field work knowledge with computing software such as ArcGIS, to generate layouts, coordinates, and maps.

Worked on the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) traffic safety culture project aimed at raising awareness of district-specific safety concerns. Analyzed traffic data to evaluate ramp metering effectiveness for KDOT, along I-35 corridor in Kansas City by modeling current travel time and reliability using FREEVAL. Completed research on the KU driving simulator to test effects of adaptive cruise control on driver behavior.Currently working on research projects that involve:1) Importing CAD designs into the driving simulator. This will allow engineers to test new/proposed designs before incorporating them in real world, without risking physical harm to drivers.2) Incorporating bio-behavioral parameters into car-following models.

Worked as an intern engineer for the IIT Jodhpur construction project. Tasks included drafting plans,handling labor, site control, working with project management software such as Microsoft Project, and supervision of internal roads construction.

Oversaw the construction of a concrete batching plant, supervised workers, and performed concrete sampling and strength testing, in the capacity of a quality controller for the synclinorium shaft project involving a 0.8-mile deep copper mine in Kitwe, Zambia.
