- Full responsibility for the accounting and reporting for the divisional HQ costs, this involved management of 350+ cost centres across 7 Business Units- Managed the accounting and reporting of the WAHQ, including cost centres and headcount (cost base - $40m, 300+ heads)- Direct line management of non-qualified assistant accountants- Monthly management reporting included full and detailed variance analysis to identify cost over/under run drivers which were reported to BU finance leads and management- Pivotal role in the FY16 and FY17 Budgeting and Planning cycle. - Key Finance Partnering support to US based Customer, defined and managed customer expectations and shared best practices which resulted in the successful sign off on the 2012 customer service value driver (R2R – Technical Accounting).- Sarbanes Oxley process owner and tester, ensured on-going tracking and monitoring of all controls within process area - Ensured accuracy and integrity of corporate accounts for key stakeholders by setting up a formal review process for the monthly balance sheet sign off, 80 expense and balance sheet accounts- Responsibility for accounting and reporting for 4 US Pension Plans including management of yearly audit and associated regulatory filings. - Established effective working relationships with GSK service organisations and industry experts (US/UK actuaries, Genpact (Outsource provider from India), State Street Bank, Bank of New York Mellon)
