Responsibilities:• Managing the entire operation as Team Leader responsible for developing :- o Engine parts - Casting and Forging & Machining( cam shaft, Crank shaft, crank pin, forks, Cam gear Shift), Transmission gear, spring(engine & Body), Sintered, bearing & fine blanking parts, silent & Drive Chaino Fasteners - Bolts, Screw, Nuts & Spring Steel Press parts• Study of bill of material, parts drawing & issuance to prospective vendor for RFQ.• Localization of imported parts to reduce the input cost of the vehicle.• Co-ordination between QC Dept., supplier & SMC, Japan for development of parts as per Suzuki engineering standards and technical requirements.• Complete development responsibility from source selection to SOP for the following parts category.• Implementation of ECN’S by coordination with QA and vendors.• Countermeasure taken for problems occurred in T1, T2 & T3 trial.• Meeting Cost Reduction target given by management through VA/VE & direct cost down.• Vendor Assessment/Selection on the basis of Quality, Cost, Delivery, Development potential, Capacity & Management• Ensure material Availability in line with SMIPL production & Inventory Control• Executed spare parts Orders & handle warranty cost settlements.• Achievements:• Cost down INR 34 Million in year through VAVE, Localization, Logistic change Actualization & RM consolidation • 5 % direct cost down by negotiation on Production Volume
