Business Head, East Africa, ETG LogisticsThe new role provides an opportunity to lead the logistics business for 6 counties including Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Malawi, Rwanda, Tanzania & Zambia.Heading the End-to-End Logistics service provider business in East Africa is a significant role considering bulk of ETG assets are in this region. ETG Logistics has an in-house Customs Clearance facility, a modern fleet of 225 trucks, ICD with 600 TEU storage, a Customs Bonded Facility, Container yard and 42,000 Sq Mtrs. of Warehouse area along with Open Yard and a proposed CFS. Integrated with Cargowise, ETG delivers on a competitive modern freight forwarding environment while leveraging experience accumulated over Five decades of its presence in Africa. "Engineering" & "Pharmaceuticals" are two verticals with immediate focus.

As PCM head for DHL India, the responsibility is for developing and executing operations strategy for the organization including Carrier management, Network planning, Introduction of new products, Network management, Managing and expanding hub operations.Also responsible for driving capacity planning, operations efficiency enhancement and automation projects across the organization.

Oscilating between the two polarities of Sales and Operations - Adapting, Learning and Delivering on pre-defined goals and KPI's.Prior to my last assignment at Agility as National Air Freight head, had been in various roles from managing P & L for Mumbai (revenue turnover of $500k), Sales and Product management.Engagement with Key pharmaceuticals clients and Product launch of GDP certified PCC (Pharma Competence Centre) ensured that the engagement and deliveries on both Operations & Sales front continued through out the tenure with Agility.General Management along with P&L responsibility got the best of me and with global exposure to people and processes the learning was phenomenal.Thank you Agility.

With SHL India, I was a front-runner in setting up & streamlining operations for Person Job Match (PJM) by managing the launch of the product in India in July ’06. Scoping out the prospective clients, introducing the selection tool to 300+ companies in the 1st year and drafting the process flow for smooth operations. Recognised for generating revenue of INR 10 Mn. in the 1st year.

With Agility, I was accountable for managing operations across Maharashtra & Goa.I got recognised for forming the “Fun” & “Frolic” team, aimed at organizing in door/out door activities to garner Teamwork and establishing operations across Maharshtra & Goa, ensuring smooth business operations.

Joined SBSIL in 2000 as Management Trainee and was promoted to Sr. Sales Executive after completing 2 years of Traineeship, was instrumental in Initiating the concept of LCD Projector sales via dealers for Sharp, Attained “Zero” to 14% market share (Mumbai) for Sharp Multimedia projectors .....
