Building GoReccie! The future of booking shoot friendly locations!Why GoReccie? GoReccie is a vibrant marketplace which lets hosts earn while filmmakers, photographers and content creators can discover and book diverse shoot locations in 3 simple steps. My journey towards entrepreneurship started back in 2015 when I started Viewfindr Films, with an intention to help growing startups create meaningful content. Reflecting on the path I've traveled, I recognize the many mistakes made, each serving as a valuable lesson. Throughout the challenges faced in the daily operations of Viewfindr Films, particularly in production, I identified a pressing need for accessible and production-friendly Shoot locations. This realisation made me fall in love with the problem, envisioning the opportunity to reshape and solve it.Talking about problems the first one started when I landed at my dad’s office only to later discover that I didn't quite fit in. There were two choices; Wisdom or a Habit. Wisdom said, “Business toh seekh lenge; life simple aur comfortable hogi” but,Habit said “Simple is boring, kuch experiment karte hai!”.And, 2011,The first day at the shoot and it was nothing less than a big dipper! My first encounter with filmmaking. There were problems everywhere. Adding to that, our first Assistant Director(AD) backed out. That’s it. I found my winning premise. My story! I was the only choice available. You know how low budget films are, right? An amateur with a responsibility to lead on the first day of shoot. You might think how exciting. But how scary? I do think I was lucky. A big appreciation post next up for my first AD, lol! You know I could have had a stable life in my dad’s business, but it didn’t hit the nail right on my head. Now, life throws new challenges everyday. So, I always have a story to tell. With Viewfindr Films we’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with startups like Jar, Kaleyra, Safegold, JaiKisaan, Augmont and brands like Sunrisers Hyderabad, Standard Chartered, GSK and Breakfast with champions but more importantly there are thousands of memories behind the camera! Now with GoReccie we aim to make life convenient and hassle free!Before I started Viewfindr Films, I honestly didn’t do anything. So, I have nothing to boast about. Besides, when I am not working, I enjoy sleeping. It’s one of the most powerful skills you know! I’m always up for conversations and love listening to stories.
