Upstart is the first online lending marketplace to utilize modern machine learning and non-traditional variables like education, test scores, and job trajectory to assess credit risk better than any financial institution in the world. Upstart was founded in 2012 and is backed by First Round Capital, Khosla Ventures, Founders Fund, Kleiner Perkins, Google Ventures, Eric Schmidt and Marc Benioff.I scaled our growth efforts and team from launch to $600MM in originations & 6 FTE. Our work spanned digital/offline marketing, partnerships, content/SEO, creative/brand, funnel optimization, and analytics.

Arizona Microcredit Initiative (http://azmicrocredit.org) is a nonprofit venture that aims to provide startup capital and small business consulting for entrepreneurs in the greater Phoenix area who have limited access to traditional sources of credit. The founding team secured funding from ASU's Edson Student Entrepreneur Initiative, operationalized AMI as a 501c3, and onboarded the first staff members.

True Ventures selects 12 undergraduates from around the country to spend a summer working with portfolio companies while completing a curriculum on early-stage startups and venture capital. I worked on product/UX @ SoundTracking (acquired by Rhapsody).
