WREL has one of the largest operating solar portfolios in India spread across ten states. It has about 1,141 MW of Renewable Power Projects comprising of about 990 MW solar power projects and about 150 MW of Wind power projects. The acquisition of WREPL is a significant step towards attaining Tata Power's objective of having non-fossil fuel based capacity up to 30-40% of its total generating capacity

Worked in the Office of CEO & Managing Director, Tata Power, India's largest integrated power company with significant international presence. Key responsibilities included reviewing & analyzing investment opportunities, giving valuable inputs on Board agenda of Tata Power and its subsidiaries, financial planning analysis, presentations for top management as well as Chairman's office.

Worked as a project manager, leading the Company's issue of Rights shares. This included, preparation of Letter of Offer, appointment and co-ordination with intermediaries including lead managers, bankers, registrars, printers, ad agencies etc., stock exchanges and SEBI related formalities.

Led Finance and Commercial aspect. As a Subject Matter Expert managed M&A opportunity in Middle East from Financial viability perspective . This included financial modelling, finalizing assumptions, optimum valuation, due diligence and finalizing the shareholders’ agreement.

Key Accomplishments• Led the issue of 60 years Subordinated Debentures of Rs. 15 billion which involved structuring, negotiation with banks, documentation and listing on Stock Exchange.• Jointly led the issue of Perpetual Hybrid Debentures of Rs. 15 billion, an instrument which had equity like features, one of the first by an Indian Corporate.Key responsibilities• Managing working capital limits of the Company (fund based and non-fund based) • Raising of funds through loans, Debentures or structured products for corporate purposes , capex and Special Purpose Vehicles • End to end lender management including background study, preparation of documentation for facilities, drawdown formalities and compliance • Investment of surplus funds of the Company in mutual funds, fixed deposits, Inter Corporate Deposits to get optimum returns. • Evaluation of new projects and M&A opportunities • Monitoring covenants for loans, Debentures and compliance as per agreements, prevalent laws and statutes• Supporting regulatory requirements for ARR and MERC queries

• Preparation of Annual Business Plan of the Company • Reporting the key financial findings • Financial vetting, variance analysis and monitoring of Capital expenditure including work-in progress, capitalization etc.• Preparation of Multi Year Tariff to be submitted to the State Regulatory Authority. • Financial audit of management approval forms• Monitoring of Interest During Construction (IDC) of major projects• Cash flow planning and monitoring• Working capital management
