SONG Investment Advisors was established in India on Dec 17th, 2008 with a goal of catalyzing socio-economic development by investing in the SME space in India. The firm served as the sole advisor during the investment period to SONG Investment company, a firm owned by Soros Economic Development Fund, Omidyar Network and Google.Led four Investments and served on the board during the investment period: Eye Q (healthcare services) with follow on investment from Helion and Nexus, K12 techno (school management company) co investment with Sequoia capital, Siddhi Vinayak (potato supply chain) and Be Well Hospitals (healthcare services).

Served as VP at Revolution LLC, a private investment holding company started by Steve Case (AOL) with initial capitalization of $500 million and a charter to invest in consumer facing businesses in disruptive markets. Portfolio included Zipcar, Miraval and Gaiam.

Worked with the CEO to quantify, qualify and monitor company’s strategic and business development initiatives.Headed the transition plan for the new CEO that included restructuring the business. Closed a licensing deal with Merrell to enter the footwear business. Part of the executive management team responsible for running the day-to-day operations of the company.

P&L responsibility of a $37 million dollar brand focused on selling base layer (Capilene Brand) through the wholesale, retail, catalog and internet channels. Increased sales by $11 MM -- turning around the division from no-growth to fastest growing business at Patagonia.

Led development of new innovations. Conceptualized and developed the Regulator fleece line, resulting in $10 million revenue in the first year that later grew to $20 million. Established R&D partnerships under non-disclosure terms with technology companies like Cargill-Dow, Tefron, Dupont, Wellman, Tejin, Toray, and Polartech.
