In my current profile I look after the cloud platform that caters to our different Commercial and Government clients.There are several Datacenters across the country running powerful hardware which we leverage with the help of virtualization.There are 4 main teams to look after this infrastructure and I am a part of Compute team.Duties and Responsibilities:• Developing and deploying customized VMware solutions.• Monitoring systems in the existing network to ensure there are no productivity setbacks(attending to alerts).• Install, update and upgrade the existing design (vSphere, vCenter, VCD, vCloud, Cloud Creator etc)• Configure and install new chassis and decommission EOL blades when needed.• Providing technical support to issues related to the platform.• Taking care of the documentation of all work.• Patching of all Management hosts, servers, VMs.• Upgrading vCenters as and when required.• On call support as needed.• Migrations and testing as and when required.• Troubleshooting the platform components when needed for any errors and sorting RMAs as needed with different vendors.
