Low Gravity Science and Technology Labo Conducted a 40+ paper literature review on the feasibility of using a neutral buoyancy test rig to physically replicate tank refueling fluid mechanics in microgravity within a laboratory settingo Constructed a test rig by 3D printing structural members, assembling tubing, and configuring a camera holder to ensure that the laminar injection of neutrally buoyant liquids can be captured and analyzed o Calculated the flow rates necessary to achieve 20 different Weber numbers, resulting in a test matrix that was sufficient to experimentally determine the critical Weber number for liquid interface stability

o Created a preliminary design for the FBCE-TL Flow Visualization breadboard test module, which would enable the imaging and thermal profiling of cryogenic chill-down in microgravityo Constructed a zero-leakage flow loop for the FBCE-TL Heat Transfer breadboard by assembling valves, fittings, instrumentation, and tubing, as well as coordinating with vendors to acquire critical components such as solenoid valves, flex hoses, and liquid membrane contactorso Oversaw the completion of 50+ test points for the FBCE's ISS flight operations on the Condensation Module - Heat Transfer test module by recording the parameters and steady-state times for each test point

o Re-designed and fabricated new aluminum launch lugs, which helped situate the rocket along the launch rail in preparation for the launch of Georgia Tech’s largest liquid-fueled rocketo Created a preliminary design of a new mobile test stand for Georgia Tech’s upcoming space-shot rocket by performing hand calculations on theoretical stresses and loads that may occur during static fires, cryogenic flows, and mechanical adjustments.

o Created a 60+ part conceptual CAD model of the Transfer Line test section, an upcoming cryogenic chill-down experiment that will be a part of the Flow Boiling and Condensation Experiment (FBCE) on the International Space Station (ISS)o Conducted over 100 total ground test points using the FBCE Flight Software System to validate the Condensation Module – Heat Transfer test module before operation aboard the ISS

o Created part and drawing files of 20+ pipes and welding structures using SolidWorks CAD software to model notch placements, weld specifications, and flaw types for non-destructive testingo Utilized geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) techniques to determine the tolerances needed for each part
