I have been working in ERP Solutions since 2008. Started career as TinyERP Developer in our start up company which was mainly focusing on open source solutions for small and medium enterprises. TinyERP was still in its infancy during those period. Being a developer in that product turned out to be an odd job, mainly due to the lack of sufficient information about the technical structure of the product as well as scarcity of experienced people in the field. But the foundation of our team, which was built on the warmth of college friendships, was strong and supportive enough to do experiments and stay focused. As time moved on our efforts started yielding results. Tiny ERP became OpenERP and then Odoo.Along with the transition of the product from Tiny ERP to OpenERP, it started gaining more attention in the ERP circles. When people started looking for OpenERP, we got the advantage of being one of the few companies who have hands on experience with the product. More opportunities started emerging. We started serving more regions and by the time Odoo had broken the "European" image and became popular in many other regions including middle east.In the mean time, our company started expanding from a "group of college friends" to a "group of professionals" from various ​backgrounds. As part of ERP implementations, got opportunities to visit different parts of the globe and meet different people from different walks of life . Those journeys happened to be a turning points in my career. Understanding and Learning Business scenarios turned out to be an interesting thing for me. To build or to have solutions that make business and life easier for people is definitely a matter of pride.Listening to people, asking them questions, understanding their business, going through their issues and finding solutions. Being a consultant is an interesting Job.
