For this, Vishnu was expected to work closely with the engineering team to understand the technical specifications of all the components of the liner hanger systems required for a particular type of down-hole condition. This was complemented with practical experience gained at the company base camp.The next part was to understand the Quality and HSE Standards followed by the company and the industry in general. Vishnu was expected to go through the employee safety handbook and understand the safety followed at the company base camp.The third objective was to understand the working of a Service Company in the O&G industry, the customer base and competition in the industry.This experience helped Vishnu gain an understanding of how a Service Company works in this industry and the kind of customer orientation that is required to work in such environment.
