Marketing and Cooperation :--“MARKETING OF AGRICULTURAL INPUTS IN VIJAYAPURA DISTRICT OF KARNATAKA”Key Objectives:1.To analyse the market structure for agricultural inputs at dealers’ level in Vijayapura district.2.To study the agricultural inputs purchasing behaviour of farmers and to document the technical services rendered by agricultural input dealers to the farmers.3.To assess the product promotion measures adopted by the different agricultural input firms.4.To identify the problems faced by farmers in purchasing the agricultural inputs and getting technical knowledge.

Key learning:-Contacting potential farmers to establish rapport and arrange meetings.- Conducting FTP's (Farmer Training Programmes) to generate the demand for the products.-Conducting field demonstrations and planning for the field day.-Ensuring the dealers shop with poster, banners and shop hangers of the prime products.-Conducting product promotion activities such as field demonstrations, field day, jeep campaign, etc.-Have to look after liquidation.-Researching organizations and new dealers to find new opportunities.-Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.
