About Kenji Saito, Md, Jd
I am currently the President and Chief Medical and Science Officer of MedLaw LLC where I provide services for companies in varying industries like manufacturing, transportation, finance, paper mills, retail, medical centers, health systems and government agencies. I also serve as the Medical Director for the Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine. I continue to be on medical staff at a local community based hospital where I was the former Vice President of Medical Staff, Chair of Medical Specialties and Medical Director in Occupational Health, Wellness, EAP, Fitness Centers, Teaching Kitchen, as well as Regulatory Liaison for the Medical Center in Central Maine. I am also on the Board of Directors for the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) and on the Board and Executive Committee of the New England College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (NECOEM) where I am President. I am also Founder and past Chair of the Health Informatics section at ACOEM and I also chair the Education Committee at NECOEM and host webinars through the Harvard School of Public Health. I also serve as ACOEM delegate to the American Medical Association where I’m also on the executive committee of the Mobility Caucus and the YPS delegate from Maine.In the past, I studied Bioethics as an undergraduate at the University of Pennsylvania and was the one of the founders of the Penn Bioethics Society. I went on to pursue a dual degree program in Medicine and Law where I was a co-founder of the Center for Urban Bioethics and Health Law Society. Thereafter, I pursued a transitional internship, a year of Ophthalmology residency and completed my training in Preventive Medicine - Occupational and Environmental Medicine as Chief Resident at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. I am also barred to practice Law in Pennsylvania and a former real estate salesperson. As an entrepreneur at heart and growing up in a small family ran business, I wish to incorporate and translate those skills to the healthcare industry. Some projects I have worked on the past include setting up a dental practice with the latest digital technologies, managing wills and estate for health professionals and aided in residential and commercial properties. I am currently partnering with startup companies in environmental and chemotoxic waste remediation under USP 800 and with another company transforming well-being to a digital platform focusing on culinary and lifestyle medicine as well as translational research in teaching kitchens across the world.
