Automated provisioning of Bare Metal Servers – using the inventory tool, HostDB – utilities, DRAC and RACADM – server, FAI – config management, PUPPET – written in, PERL. It was used for faster and efficient provisioning of physical servers reducing manual efforts.Responsible for Benchmarking, Setting-up and Productionizing Hadoop/Hbase clusters and debugging, fixing, upgrading and deploying patches in multiple clusters for various issues. Manages 4 secure clusters with 500+ nodes. Kerberos was setup and integrated across Hadoop eco-system as the number of shared users increased. SetUp tools used – OpenTSDB and developed TSDB plugins for graphing, Puppet modules for cluster deployment, and Nagios scripts for alerting.Setup and implementation of hdfs federation.Benchmarked, setup and productionized ZooKeeper as a service for Flipkart.Migrated Hbase from shared cluster to dedicated clusters as the Dataset increased.Presently manages 800+ nodes hdfs cluster and other smaller hbase cluster used for OLTP/OLAP use cases.Debugging issues and patching issues related to MR jobs/hdfs/hbase.Managing End to End flow of setting up clusters, writing ansible playbooks, setting up ansible gateways for organised cluster creation.Automated file consolidation on hdfs to reduce fsobjects.Testing and Deployment of elastic yarn clusters for multiple orgs, for compute burstability.
