I am a Translation & Documentation Specialist with almost 2 decades of linguistic and technical experience in high-tech, industrial engineering, consumer electronics, automotive and software localisation processes.As a process driven pioneer and problem solver, I thrive in situations where I can develop something new: by structuring diverse data, or by creating processes and solutions to support my clients’ goals. I prefer to work with languages, in an international environment and with a passionate team. + My Passion: I'm most proud of projects where complex matter is converted into simple, easy to use, multilingual documentation. Where I've worked together with a team of translators or authors to deliver content and processes that are practical, usable and maintainable, to the point where I'm only needed as a coach.+ My Methods: I use simple, straightforward language to transfer a complex message, both in my communication and in my linguistic products. I break down complex content and procedures into smaller simple and transparent steps. I resolve small, repetitive day-to-day annoyances and implement timesavers to make documentation and translation processes faster, cheaper and easier to maintain. I improve the efficiency and resilience of international documentation efforts: production-driven and cost-conscious. + My Experience: Over the past 20 years I've worked for some of the smallest and biggest companies in the translation, documentation, IT, engineering, heavy machinery, automotive, electronics & automation industries world wide. This has given me a unique international perspective and the skills to quickly understand complex systems and processes.As an independent specialist, I've taken up many roles in the language industry, ranging from translator/editor, copywriter and technical author to team leader, process developer and project consultant. I've worked both externally and on-premise, and set up my own teams or co-operated with staff to achieve our goals, depending on the needs and requirements of each project.
