About Samuel Vissotto

I believe the ability to do things better, differently, is the cornerstone of human prosperity. I am passionate about turning innovation into things that can make people's lives more convenient; and for that, I'm in Business Development within the Video, Mobile, Content and Internet industries.Recently I promoted ebooks and ereading while developing this business in Latin America. I anticipated that part of our reading was going digital and worked for people to be able to read without any boundaries, with Kobo. I also championed open mobile ecosystems for Android based devices, helping Samsung develop the tablet business in the region, while managing Samsung innovation strategy for Latin America.Prior to that, I developed strategies and businesses for companies willing to succeed in a fast moving high-tech mobile environment, within a European based consultancy. Before that, I helped NTT DOCOMO expand its mobile internet i-mode business across 14 countries; I project managed a simultaneous launch in the UK and Ireland, with 300+ people involved across Telefónica and NTT DOCOMO.
I influenced giant telcos to bid for mobile licenses while at Ericsson, leading the team who closed the first GSM/UMTS/LTE/5G contract for Ericsson in Brazil (covering the entire country), with TIM. I kicked off my working days with Monsanto and was recognized with an Achievements Award for excellence in sales. I achieved ongoing responsibility and promotion across business units, and Monsanto funded my MS research at Colorado State, USA.
