Vitória Ramos has been working with advocacy and policy in international non-governmental organizations for over ten years. She is currently a PhD student at the Global Health and Sustainability Program at the School of Public Health/University of Sao Paulo and has her own advocacy and external engagement consultancy company, working with independent consultancies. For six years she worked for the medical-humanitarian organization Médecins Sans Frontières, lastly holding the position of Head of the Advocacy and Humanitarian Affairs Unit of the organization in Brazil, where she was also detached to work in humanitarian projects, focused on issues related to health for neglected populations and humanitarian response. Master in Social Sciences in Development, Agriculture and Society from CPDA/UFRRJ, Specialist in Public Policy and Culture of Rights from NEPP-DH/UFRJ and Bachelor of International Relations at IRI/PUC-Rio. She was previously Policy Analyst at the non-governmental organization ActionAid Brasil, where she worked with a focus on public policies to fight poverty and strenghten food security and sovereignty.
