- Fully accountable for Stability and Performance of Cengage’s flagship online education platform, MindTap. Collaborated closely with senior leaders in Product, Architecture and IT to translate short and long term strategy into technology solutions. Ensured ongoing operational stability of 99.9% uptime for the MindTap platform, while growing activations 60%+ year over year (currently serving 1.2M users).- Delivered a fully revamped UI for the MindTap platform to improve usability, performance and support responsive design capabilities.- Oversaw the delivery of Communication and Collaboration solution for the initial release of World Languages product. List of services included Audio and Video recording, Group Video chat and Discussion Forums.

- Built from scratch and managed a multi-locational team (Boston, Atlanta, Bucharest) of 20+ software engineers to develop cloud-based business applications for the enterprise-class mortgage servicing system. Key accountabilities included strategic planning, hiring and resource management, providing architectural guidance, managing day-to-day development operations, and implementing Agile processes.- Oversaw the development of Servicing Transfers Module that is responsible for on-boarding of new loans into the system. The module is based on secure, highly scalable SaaS architecture. (Java, Akka, Pentaho DI, MySQL)- Delivered the first release of the Business Rules Management System to be used by the entire mortgage servicing product suite. (Drools, Java, MongoDB)

- Directed a geographically dispersed Applications group of 15 software and QA engineers. Responsible for delivery of graphical user interface (GUI) solutions for the entire AccuRev enterprise product suite, including delivery of full-scale Web and stand-alone GUIs, and numerous integrations with 3rd party tools.- Performed planning, scheduling, resource management, hiring, and status reporting for all the Applications group projects.- Served as a primary technical architect for numerous product features.- Provided leadership and technical oversight for the offshore development team (Ukraine). As Outsourcing Relationship Manager was also responsible for evaluation of various outsourcing and offshoring options, budgeting and staffing decisions, contract and rates negotiation.- Implemented processes and practices to improve engineering efficiency, productivity and quality. Established and maintained Scrum processes for the team and served as the team’s first Scrum Master.

- Single-handedly designed and implemented initial versions of the stand-alone GUI for the AccuRev SCM product. Significant features included repository navigation, branching and version management, history browsing, comprehensive diff/merge tool, security and various administrative tools. Implemented a complete version of Issue Tracking system that included schema and workflow definition, issue form and issue query management. (Java, Swing, XML)- Drove design and development of the Web-based user interface for the AccuRev product. Responsible for choosing the technology and establishing Web UI architecture. (Java, GWT, Ajax)- Implemented initial versions of AccuRev integrations with Eclipse and IntelliJ IDEs and with Atlassian code review tool. (Java, SWT, Swing, REST)- Developed numerous server-side features for AccuRev Core component. (C++, STL)- Managed the process of adding I18N support to the main product UIs.
