Socio-pedagogical educator & journalist. I am an experience designer and cinema producer. I am a creative professional who is working in the field of marketing communication since 1990 and I have been working for 25 years in the study of the social effects of digital transformation in the field of communication and on the effects of the Digital Cultural Divide in the digital immigrant population born in the past century. ResearcherStudy Center For Humanism And Technology | La Fabbrica Dell'Immaginario 1998 - 2001In these years I have collaborated with local government institution of Naples (Municipality and Province) to create plans of cultural policies planning the activation of some services aimed to the communication and cultural promotion as in the valorization of the Cultural Resources of the metropolitan City of Naples.In the field of promotional communication, I believe that a very important thing that I have done is the introduction, experimentally and amongst the first operators in Italy, the advertising technique called Product Placement to apply the promotion of the Cultural Heritage ( ref. www.fotoromanzo.com) .For what regards the valorization of the cultural heritage, in 1999 I have introduced to the Province Authority of Naples the concept of the realization of an archeological virtual museum, which in the following years has been implemented with the MAV – Museo Archeologico Virtuale of Herculaneum, up to realize, in 2001, among the first experimental operators in Italy in the area of the new creative technologies applied to the cultural heritage, a full-CGI stereoscopic video clip in cinema-resolution.

I perceive by intuition that the “short circuit” in his development is basically between people over a certain age and elders; the “digital divide” which divides people in Italy is mainly Cultural, especially in the population age 45+. So I designed a project which I call PDCo45 and I propose to the Academy the necessity to introduce on the market a new professional profile, which I like to define as “Mediator of Digital Culture”.Suor Orsola University of Naples, first in Italy in 2005, establishes ante-litteram the first post-graduate program for Mediators of Digital Culture trying to sensitize Political Institutions of this problem, still not fully comprehended not only in Italy. Some years later, the EU announces that actually there is a tangible risk of social exclusion of a great branch of the european population provoked by a cultural gap towards the Digital Culture. With understanding that the effect of this phenomenon is that a big majority of the Citizens are placed in the condition of cultural disability which might be the potential cause of social exclusion and loss of job places, for this reason today the Europian Union heartily recommends that governments take misure to enhance "e-literacy skills" for elderly to facilitate the social inclusion in the new "Information Society"My interest is also focused on themes related to the productive aspects in the field of research on dialectic between Creative Humanism and Technological skills. ResearcherUniversità L'Orientale - Project Humanism And Technology 1994 - 1997In 1994, I have started my journey in the world of technologies, to the point of participating in the research activities promoted by the chair of Sociology in the Orientale University of Naples. Joining the research group of Umanesimo & Tecnologia [Humanism and Technology], I get fascinated to this program, aimed to identify and experiment dialogue instruments for a constructive comparison between the humanist-area creative and emerging new media creative. My principal target on this research is to create a background for a working environment, fair for the development of the fundamental cooperation models of job planning, of the new necessary paradigms for the sustainable development of the emerging industry of Digital Contents. I committed starting from the analysis of theoretical and experimental points of view dictated by field experience to explore problems which where descending from the “communication dyscrasia” that was configuring between these two competing environments, two fields, two cultures which were deeply separated. Accruing the conviction that the necessary action is to spread, in relation to the digital culture, a positive message towards the humanistic space, I tried to contrast the exclusivist approach that computer technicians were gaining in the first years of development of new technologies for communication and digital media production.
