I am a respiratory researcher with over five years of experience in chronic pulmonary inflammatory diseases. At ADDRI, I am trying to delineate the role of extracellular vesicles in dust diseases like silicosis and mesothelioma. My previous research projects focused on understanding the role of mitochondrial dysfunctions and immunometabolism in COPD, utilising preclinical models and in vitro studies. I completed my PhD in June 2019 from Panjab University, Chandigarh, India. For my PhD project, I repurposed an FDA-approved drug, Olaparib (PAPR inhibitor), which alleviated the disease feature in the established COPD mouse model.
