The aim of the thesis was to obtain a methodology to identify equivalent static loads using for dynamic impact events. The dynamic system was solved explicitly using Radioss for which the setup was done in Hypermesh. Using modal transient analysis in Optistruct the active modes at each time instant were identified from which an equivalent static loads were obtained.

• Perform testing and verification of fault codes in fuel, air intake and exhaust systems for Euro IV engines.• Participate in prepping the rig or vehicle to collect the test data.• Develop methodology to automatically process/filter the test data and sample it for further analysis.• Provide support for testing of vehicles for failure mode analysis of various components.
