Global Product Manager -Fish Netting Division

I'm heading Global Fish Trawl netting business Division (USD 8 Million) independently for last two years and have grown the business by 15% on CAGR basis.My customers are located in Norway,Denmark, Holland,Spain, France, Iceland,Morocco, USA,UK,Southern Africa, Australia and South East Asia. My job involves preparing marketing strategies for product line growth in line with company's medium and long term growth plan,visiting my customers across the globe,Product launch/Promotions,marketing communications, VoC collection for new product development, co-ordinating with R&D for product development etc to ensure annual volume and profit targets are met.I have visited 13 countries so far in my sales and marketing role.

I'm responsible for achieving Sales Target in Central & South Zone in India and in Indonesia, Malaysia .The job requires frequent travelling to different branches to assist sales force in conversion.I'm centrally co-ordinating all marketing activities from Head office in pune to drive & support sales.Responsible for participation in industrial seminars, training the sales force on product, application etc. I have worked on new product development with a cross functional team & successfully launched the product.Exceeded the sales target by 15% in FY 10-11.

Handled 20 Cr business as National Sales Manager & reported to CMD for sales on regular basis.I was part of bringing in two OEMs for growth in sales. This contributed 8% growth in YoY sales.The job involved frequently visiting customers on all india basis for conversions.Representing organization in trade seminars,making industry specific presentation for customer's top management were part of the job.

I was Shift-in charge- production for pickling line & was responsible for overall shift activities.This included managing 6 shift operators to increase shift production & I was the overall quality champion during the shift.I completed one Green Belt Six sigma project apart from being part of one FMEA project which saved organization over Rs One crore annually by reducing line downtime & product defects.

During one & half year I was part of Erection & commissioning of new production line (Pickling Line-2) in the CRM complex at Hazira.The job included old equipment refurbishing to co-ordination with civil & electrical for erection & commissioning.
