I am obsessed with all things child welfare and believe in sharing how professionals can live joy-filled lives while also making positive contributions to the world. I’m a proponent of lawyers and others using a compassion-based framework to reduce the pervasive suffering they, along with their clients and fellow professionals, experience. I conduct trainings, workshops, consulting, and coaching on compassion, well-being, and all topics related to child welfare.As the director of the Child Advocacy Law Clinic and the Child Welfare Appellate Clinic at the University of Michigan Law School I advocate for the rights of both children and parents involved in child welfare proceedings and approach every situation with humanity and compassion for all that I work with.
