- Responsible to lead the engineering team to conceptualize, innovate and implement newer features in all active versions of the product line.- Newer features also include keeping abreast with the latest changes in the Digital Banking scenarios in India and also analysis and selection of regulatory enhancements that apply to Core Banking Systems.- Liaising with the Product Implementation and the Product Support Groups to ensure sustenance support to all existing customers in India and China, consisting of 10 banks.- Work closely with the Product Strategy Group that analyses market information and to help define and implement the product road map. I have been part of the Engineering leadership team for the last 5 years and have seen through the release of four product versions in this period, that have been primarily released for India and China regions. The major features of these releases include, but are not limited to.- Tighter integration between various functional modules of the Retail and Corporate Banking Products.- Development of IMMEDIATE PAYMENT SERVICE (IMPS) module, which is among the most important 24 x 7 payment systems in India.- Seamless integration with other product lines such as Private Banking and Direct Banking.
