Managed and headed Media Processing Group in India - Played a very crucial role in building the team almost from scratch and getting some very important activities started.Activities carried out by the team over the years include:1. openMAX DL for various ARM cores2. Taught cryptography to masters students for two consecutive years

(It was called SAS then)1. Project handing responsibilities for embedded software implementation of MPEG-1 Video Decoder on SH-DSP processor for an important Japanese customer.2. Tracked the development of (what was then) a new emerging video compression standard (MPEG-4) and helped define the company strategy for the same.3. Was part of a company wide metrics program (Quality Management)4. Was responsible for tracking new product ideas, and standards and updating the strategy.

Development of embedded graphics and imaging software on high performance TI DSP1. Optimization of Image Processing algorithms on parallel DSP processor (TMS320C80 MVP).2. Parallelization of high performance PostScript RIP (2D graphics) software on MVP.3. Application programming for real-time OS.(JMI C Exec on MVP & 68K).4. Automated Regression Flow for the product on a Multi platform configuration.

Wide exposure to complex electronic systems in radars, software and hardware1. Software design, development of real time embedded radar sub system on Multi Bus II.This involved conceptualization of rigorous mathematical algorithms, initial planning, requirements gathering, design and implementation and test on the embedded platform.This involved extensive RTOS programming (iRMK) using C and system calls.2. Hardware and software design of a display panel using 8751.This involved conceptualization, developing the hardware and software architecture, PCB design, hardware and software3. Design & development of Raw Video Interface Card for Radar Display. This was a design and implementation of a mixed design PCB (digital + analog) that accomplished the required functionality.
