If a popular advertiser runs an ad next to content that is say borderline child endangerment or animal abuse, it causes severe backlash to advertisers and may spur a boycott by their customers. For this reason, advertisers are extremely sensitive to what content appears around their ad. The brand safety controls that are provided by my team enable the advertisers to fine-tune the content around their ad and are critical for their adoption of the Facebook advertiser platform. In addition to ensuring revenue stream for Facebook this enables millions of content creators to make a living by earning money on Facebook/Instagram. Finally, our billions of Facebook/IG users also get good quality content, because my work discourages bad actors from spreading misinformation, porn and other low quality content on Facebook.

The motive of this tool was to speed up the procedure of getting the braille version of the books whose text versions are not available especially for local languages like Tamil, Telugu etc.
