Vivian Kim is a legal executive with deep experience in public company governance, litigation and risk management, communications strategy, and human capital management. She is a proven strategic partner, providing practical, risk-based counsel to management and the board of directors. Vivian serves as Executive Vice President - General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Chief People Officer of Hanmi Bank and Hanmi Financial Corporation (Nasdaq: HAFC). Hanmi was founded in 1982 as the first Korean-American bank in the United States, focused on serving the underbanked immigrant population in Los Angeles. Since its founding, Hanmi has grown to serve multi-ethnic communities coast-to-coast through its network of 35 branches and seven loan production offices. Vivian is active in the community and currently serves on two non-profit boards: the Korean American Bar Association of Southern California and the Koreatown Youth and Community Center. Her focus is on fostering the development of the next generation of leaders through education, mentorship, and community engagement.
