I developed partnerships with creative businesses, local boroughs and third sector organisations to deliver projects that provided skills training, promoted diversity and created fair access routes into jobs. I worked closely with education and training providers to shape the provision of apprenticeships, job brokerage and training to ensure it reflected the approach and requirements of industry and led to sustainable careers for young people in east London. The programme saw over 100 young people move into jobs and training opportunities in the creative sector. A NEW DIRECTION is a charity that creates powerful ways for all young Londoners to access the best of art and culture. We do this by strategically working with key partners to connect young people and schools with art and culture. CREATE JOBS is an employability programme that creates pathways for young people aged 18-25 to access work in the creative and cultural sector. The programme provides work experiences, mentoring, talks and jobs for young people.
