I received the opportunity to intern for the Central Valley Community Bank. This internship took a period of 6 weeks and began February 6 through March 15. During this internship, my assigned role was to research and analyze materials necessary for assigned topic of diversity within a bank. Due to this topic, I was instructed to contact different banks and nonprofit organizations to see what groups they served, and what they did to help. I was also able to create a mock website that included a translation option, simple videos to clarify the topic of banking, and pictures to show diversity within the bank. I was able to gain the experience of working in a group for this assignment which allowed me to communicate my research and results to my mentors for each assignment given. After 6 weeks of hard work, I was able to learn more about how banks research out to groups who have not received the opportunity to learn about banking, and I was able to gain work experience.
