As Operations Manager I was responsible for implementation and execution of all Trade, Availability and Costs activity, including all key change programmes. This meant utilising the skills of other managers and colleagues and using effective planning in order to achieve the desired outcomes and hit our KPIs. This ranged from the introduction of new products, to landing a key brief such as Easter or Christmas. My daily responsibilities included analysing KPI data to see what needed to be fixed short and long term, and work with the Store Manager and wider management team to improve. I also, every shift, undertook a walk of the sales floor and coached any colleagues who weren't performing or adhering to correct policy/process. I was also responsible for property maintenance including raising/escalating of jobs, and for keeping the store legal through my Admin team. Key achievements whilst being the Operations Manager in Hamilton:*Safe and Legal Audit passed in March 2022 (Hamilton's first green audit in 5 years). I influenced this by daily coaching on shopfloor and engaging colleagues on safe and legal practices. I also had sessions with the other managers in the store to develop any of their gaps in knowledge on Safe and Legal.*Stocktake Result 2021 + 2022 Green. When I started the result was at 2.03% loss, however on our following Stocktake in October 2021 we scored 0.81% when our budget is 1.34%; then beat budget in 2022 by 0.31% This was due to looking at all processes and fixing the root cause to any losses within the store e.g. Transfers between departments not being completed. Since I have been the Operations Manager we have also passed every Shrink audit and Cleaning Audits.I also passed the Store Manager Assessment in 2022. I also fulfilled Store Manager responsibilities in their absence.

Giffnock

I was transferred to the Giffnock store due to the previous experience I had at turning a store around. Previously Giffnock was not performing to the targets and expectations it had when the store launched, was not well received in the community, and staff turnover was high. Not only did I stabilized the team, but the store hit its KPIs and was reputation within the community was improving. I led this store through the challenges of many lockdowns which saw an increased turnover of, at times, up to 40%.Other accolades include: *Store Visit from International - The Head of Lidl GB visited Lidl Giffnock and it was a successful visit. The store had to be prepped in advance in order to make the store 'show' worthy. I also had to be well versed in all KPIs in order to be able to answer any questions that he might have had.*Media Visit: Lidl was launching a media trail involving KT Turnstall. 4 stores in Scotland were chosen including my store, where she would perform instore. Therefore, again, I had to make sure that the store was ready for this high profile visit. This too was a success not only for Lidl in their media promotion, but also for Giffnock's customers who enjoyed the event.

Barrhead gave me a new challenge in managing a known 'difficult' store and turning it around. I led the team to success in 12% increased turnover YOY, reduction in waste and reduction in labour turnover due to my leadership. This shop provided me the foundation I needed to lead a team, achieve my own KPIs and excel in providing customer service as a team.

Achievements included landing last minute discounting events and leading the team through what they needed to know; sales increase of 10% YOY and decreased waste KPI.
