Collaboratively connecting communities with children in mind, through this imaginative program which encourages reading, talking, singing, rhyming and drawing with children from birth, so that they are ready for reading and writing when they start school. Saturating the community with pre-loved children's books in locally made and decorated 'Book Swap Boxes', being guided by a book-loving pelican mascot called Garranga Bumarri.

Facilitating a Schools as Community Centre for families raising young children in Marrickville South. Working in partnership with a range of agencies and community members to deliver a raft of programs including playgroups, women's groups, adult education (English Classes), as well as provide a space which fosters safe social connection for groups on the outer.

" Playing Together and Living in Harmony ' this is the banner under which Marrickville will hold its first Children's Festival on 31st March 2012. Combining "Dance Around the World" with the successes of the Children's Festival Organisation Inc in Bankstown and Canterbury, there is a magnificent team effort including children themselves, bringing something very special to the hood.

Co-ordinated the BIG - Bankstown Interagency Group for Families NSW. Based at Housing NSW and working collaboratively with Health, Community, Education, Local NGO's and community participants, we ran Paint and Play in parks in Villawood and Chester Hill.
