I have 30 years' experience in teaching and performing. I studied with Winifred Busfield, formerly Head of Singing at the RSAMD (Conservatoire). I have worked with the Glasgow Grand Opera Society, the Glasgow Opera Group and have had a single produced by Jo Callis of the Human League. I have sung and played (keyboards and viola) in several bands in varying genres and have worked professionally as a jazz singer. I am currently writing Blues songs with my band.I have composed music and have helped previous school students with their compositions for Higher Music. I teach the Associated Board syllabus together with Rockschool, and enter pupils each year for the Glasgow Music Festival. Six of my singing students have gone on to win their respective classes at this Festival, and a piano student of mine has won the Uddingston's Got Talent competition (2011). Although sitting exams is, of course, optional as far as I am concerned, I do have a high success rate with pupils' exam results, and many have passed with Distinction.Specialities: I am a Celtic Reiki Master and Seaaonal Yoga 200 hrs teacher, offering relaxation and breathing techniques, yoga with sound (Vocayoga), chi kung exercises, colour visuation/toning techniques, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique and soundbaths with a crystal singing pyramid. I can offer this individually or in a group.
