As a Product Manager at FIS, I spearheaded the successful launch of diverse product initiatives, notably leading the inception and development of Global KYC. This groundbreaking tool revolutionized global onboarding and fraud prevention for both individuals and businesses.My role encompassed multifaceted responsibilities, beginning with crafting compelling pitch decks and securing essential funding for the project. Within the day-to-day operations, I excelled in generating comprehensive user stories within the Agile SCRUM framework, steering product roadmaps, and orchestrating collaboration among various departments, including data and technology vendors.A pivotal aspect of my role was navigating through legal and compliance intricacies, alongside partnering with marketing, pricing, billing, customer engagement, support and development teams. As the linchpin between these departments, I ensured seamless coordination to drive the project from conception to a successful launch.Our efforts culminated in fostering partnerships with prominent US banks, strategically integrating the product into diverse partner and reseller channels. This endeavor marked a significant milestone in expanding the product's reach and impact within the market.

Vivian is an accomplished Senior Solutions Architect specializing in Global Retail Payments. Possessing a unique blend of expertise encompassing hardware, software, and web development, Vivian excels as the chief architect behind the Decision Solutions Discovery platform. This platform is instrumental, being utilized by over 8,000 financial institutions worldwide for account origination (KYC), fraud, compliance, and risk mitigation.Throughout a distinguished 16-year tenure at FIS, Vivian has been instrumental in steering technical direction and providing leadership across a multitude of IT projects within the Decision Solutions domain. Vivian's track record reflects a legacy of technical excellence and innovative contributions that have significantly impacted FIS's technological landscape.

Vivian spearheaded the design, contributed to the development, and currently oversees the management of the eFunds Discovery ID Verification and OFAC compliance system. Under Vivian's guidance, the system achieved remarkable processing volumes, handling approximately 1,000,000 transactions per day. This system stands as a testament to Vivian's expertise in crafting and overseeing high-performance, mission-critical solutions.

Penley is a provider of OFAC and ID Verification services. My career at Penley brought many new challenges and highlights. In 1 year I took a single server, single developer system doing roughly 20 transactions a month to an n-tier enterprise system with 12 servers doing 5.2 Million transactions a month. That is nearly 2,5 transactions per second all month long. I managed staff in Atlanta and India. We use Java / J2EE technologies.

As a former Technical manager I used my skills to motivate and grow a very inexperienced team. I used my management skills to promote an open and stimulating workplace that produced well beyond all expectations. Starting a new product with an inexperienced development team is always a challenge, but by the time I left InFinSys we had 2 products in production supporting 300 outlets in the Southern Africa region and the development staff had grown to the point where they could continue to develop and support the system.

I started as a senior consultant working for a company that had just entered the competitive Java market. As a consultant for Borland I had to promote the Java language using the Borland suite of products. I was sent to customers where I had to compete with rival products to prove that the Borland suite performed better. I did a great job, selling a Million $ Borland suite deal to a large Banking group. Borland then promoted me to the Professional Services Manager for Africa where I spent the rest of my time at Borland leading, training and developing staff and clients. For the first time in my career I had to do product launches and speaking at conferences. The largest conference spoke at had 500 attendees.

Spent my time at Orca as a R&D engineer in technology. I wrote an Environmental monitor for the ORCA Disk array running on a ‘simm‘ sized JVM called the TINI (Dallas Semiconductor: http://www.dalsemi.com). Collect environmental information and communicate with the raid controller. Here I wrote a network protocol called MK6p, which allows the raid box to be monitored over the Internet. I wrote the clients using Java, and Delphi. Alerts I sent via SNMP, SMS and Mail.
