The Australian business market comprised nearly one million businesses and BigAir's network provided near blanket coverage across its major cities, together with extensive regional coverage. The BigAir Cloud Managed Services division provided customers with innovative, fully integrated Cloud, Managed Services and Unified Communications solutions. BigAir provided leading school-focused cybersafety and security software solutions though its business Cyberhound – providing kindergarten to K12 schools, and businesses with a comprehensive suite of software and a behavioural analytics platform.The BigAir Community Broadband division provides outsourced managed Internet services in the tertiary student accommodation market within Australia. The Research & Commercialisation Office of UTS (now Research and Innovation Office) was responsible for creating commercial outcomes for Intellectual Property created by staff, students and collaborative efforts such as the Co-operative Research Centre program. Vivian was responsible for identifying, protecting, developing and commercialising IP for the University with a focus on Information and Communications, Business and certain Engineering sectors. Vivian negotiated and then executed commercial outcomes for UTS that were delivered through a number of pathways including licensing, assignment, joint ventures and spin-outs. This involved working relationships with Industry, Venture Capitalists, Angel Investors, Federal and State Government, Industry Associations, other Universities and federally funded research organisations including CSIRO & DSTO.

Tinshed is a private equity investment group. Vivian managed the early-stage deal team, analysed hundreds of business opportunities, conducted due diligence, prepared entrepreneurs for investor presentations, developed dealflow, led investments, liaised with investors and advisors and held Board positions. Approximately $25 million in early-stage venture capital investment was placed over its investing period. Vivian built alliances with many organisations with a view to supporting Australian technology including Gilbert & Tobin, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Griffith Hack, Oracle, IBM, Hewlett Packard, Australian Technology Park, Israel Chamber of Commerce, Austrade, Allen & Buckeridge, Avcal, Red Herring, Industry Standard, and Garage.com

Vivian managed multiple marketing programs and online brands throughout the Asia-Pacific region. He was on the team that launched new websites in local language for twelve countries, executed the world's first live tri-lingual streaming video broadcast (which happened to be delivered from The People's Republic of China) and was responsible for the online launch of each new Intel processor and brand on the web in Asia-Pacific. Vivian was also an Intel Brand Guardian and trainer. Vivian managed the Asia Pacific press launch of the Intel Pentium(r) III Processor. He received two Divisional Recognition Awards for his efforts from Chairman Andy Grove and CEO Craig Barrett.

Magna Data pioneered Internet access in Australia as Australia's first full service Internet Service Provider and ultimately became the country's leading corporate ISP with offices in five cities. Vivian was involved in strategic and operational aspects of the business. Vivian built relationships with key members of the press over hundreds of interviews as part of the company’s “Experts on Internet” press strategy. Vivian was involved in hundreds of sales calls, network infrastructure, developing alliances, marketing, network & general management and was on the Board of Directors. After five years, Magna Data was subsequently happily sold to ASX-listed Davnet Limited (now owned by NTT Communications) . Vivian was a Director and major shareholder of Magna Data. Magna Data was founded by Vivian Stewart, Luke Carruthers, Jason Ashton and Mark Cramer-Roberts.
