Orientation Week is the first big event in the fall that welcomes incoming students to the University after all the recruitment is finished and offers are accepted. As part of a 4-person executive team for the Faculty of Arts, we spent 10 months training student leaders and crafting a week of programming for 1200 first year students. As part of this role, I:- Hired and managed over 90 leaders and coordinators - Planned and executed programming that focused on integration, education, and community- Handled vendor relations for food, swag, and sponsorship- Managed leader communications for 10 months through social media and Mailchimp- Managed a budget of ~$50,000- Developed tools and worksheets for budgeting, expenses, and event management- Developed relationships with stakeholders within Waterloo Orientation and the community
