As Manager of Health Services, I am responsible for the day-to-day operations of the camp health center and the provision of care for the nearly 500 people, campers and staff, on our campus. Duties include:• Primary health care delivery for campers and staff• Maintenance and delivery of OSHA standards and worker’s compensation program• Maintenance of the health and wellness portion of the American Camp Association accreditation standards• Interviewing, hiring, and orienting new medical and nursing staff members• Annual updates of the health center policy and procedure manual• Staff training for counselors and ancillary staff• Delivery of multiple continuing education courses in camp health• Ordering of supplies and medical equipment and maintaining service vendor contracts with supply chain and professional providers• Manage budget of $100,000 and seek mechanisms to contain costs
