In my current role, I lead a design team at Flatiron Health that's responsible for tooling that makes complex, data-rich workflows accessible to non-technical users. Our mission is to drive innovation in cancer care and accelerate research by providing important insights on the experience of every patient with cancer. Previously, I led a cross-functional design team at Fjord (Accenture Federal) in simplifying the experience of learning about, borrowing, and repaying federal student loans. Through the launch and continuous improvement of StudentAid.gov and tools like the Loan Simulator, we made it possible for borrowers and their families to find information in a single location and develop critical financial literacy.After more than a decade designing across dynamic and tightly-regulated industries, I've come to understand that I love my work the most when I'm working on technology interventions that bring us closer to our shared humanity. I believe in relentless optimism, stirring the pot, and building meaningful relationships along the way.
