Together with two friends we thought long and hard about copyright and how money could be collected to pay for the production and presentation of artistic work and performances. We figured out a system somewhat similar to Kickstarter. After discussing the concept with numerous culture affiliated people we concluded that the concept did not excite them enough. We published our Takoha Manifesto in http://www.takoha.eu and stopped the project.Two years later Kickstarter went live.

While studying in the university we were deep-diving into the world of servers and web hosting. After provisioning some capacity from US data-center during hobby project we realized that we could repackage and sell this capacity for Finnish customers.Somehow we muddled our way to customers, revenue and ramen-profitability.Ultimately we decided to scale this company down and continued to focus on our university studies.

Internet was great. My first large application combined Hotmail-style functionality with threaded discussion groups and media sharing. I was able to learn bleeding edge web technologies and core Internet protocols. This project was ultimately scaled down as we were unable to figure good product-market fit and decided to focus back on our university studies.

While studying at high school we created our own Lycos-like web directory and portal service called NEXUS. We learned a lot and really recognized Internet as a major transformative force.

During my early life Finland was next to Soviet Union while simultaneously identifying as partially western. Slowly things changed in our society and modern Finland was born. Advanced technology became available and we Finns eagerly adopted it. Meteoric rise of Nokia started to boost our hopes for the future. Internet arrived and irrevocably changed everything for many of us.I was hooked to computers since early junior school. VIC20, C64, AMIGA and PC models beyond counting. My coding life started when I was nine. Games and hobbyist coding were my passions. During junior school I authorized some programming tips to the national IT magazine.Together with my brother we operated very popular multi-node and multi-line BBS until the arrival of Internet.
