With largely BE driven apps, exposing mobile developers to collaborate more with other teams, working at Heetch I had the opportunity to: - lead the migrations of MVP to MVI, RxJava to coroutines and flows, and to Compose, - lead the re-architecting of the module organisations, - lead the CI/CD work using Fastlane, Bitrise and script automation, - work with a fully developed design system, - be involved in planning, design and decisions, as all features precede with discovery, - have opportunities to explore with POCs.

My main involvement has been in development and maintenance of the Nucleus Smart app, which provides many cool features to Cochlear sound processor recipients, such as volume control and monitoring over BLE, in which I: - expertly managed a complex, multi-project, multi-module application, - excelled in a complex, large-scale industrial environment, collaborating with multiple teams across diverse projects, - implemented a Lint detector for paired function calls, and presented to the team, - collaborated within a large-scale industrial ecosystem, coordinating with multiple teams to integrate numerous custom backend APIs and the Couchbase database.

Leading the development of the Monash Mobile app greenfield project, in a vibrant work environment, with constant intake of student developers to onboard and integrate was a lot of fun. There were a lot of opportunities to play and experiment with the greatest and latest features the platform had to offer (MAD score for the app was 100%). The app features: - In app “news and content feed”, with Firebase backend (Firestore, Auth, Remote Config,...) and web portal, which I lead to develop in 2 sprints, as a Covid impact relief requirement, - Timetable and other events overview, with full scrolling schedule, weekly and daily views, - Maze maps integration for navigating around campuses, - Shuttle bus timetable integration and Parking assist, - Widgets, Accessibility, - Layered MVVM with Koin injection following SOLID principles, - Bottom bar with Navigation Component, - Integration with Google Assistant (POC)At Monash, I was involved in many other planning and management responsibilities, such as defining processes, creating and automating Jira workflow (scripts for auto-moving issues, starting builds, etc.), planning and allocating work, writing and refining user stories and other tickets, defining scope and capacity for sprints, helping with UX planning and considerations, and so on.

Working for GrowthOps has provided me with exposure to various projects and architecture (MVP, MVVM, redux) through apps such as Movember, RACGP, Tronac (climate systems app), JHUB control and more. But the bulk of my work was leading development on a greenfield project for a system which converts recreational vehicles into smart RVs. Our team has built the native Android and iOS apps while our client’s engineering team built connecting firmware for the JayCommand electronic system.There were numerous complexities during this project successfully overcame: - Working in a lean agile environment, we developed apps simultaneously with the firmware being built, successfully managing to collaborate around the “chicken and egg” conundrum; - Successfully lead the implementation of different flavor of the app for the “wall unit tablet” and multiple flavors for different manufacturers; - Met multiple hard deadlines due to booked trade shows, client delegations from US, etc.; - Managed a young team, put together weeks before the project started; - Implemented dynamic configurations and layouts for different models lights, motors, tanks, etc. - Successfully tackled many Bluetooth issues on Android, amplified by cheap wall unit tablets with poor Bluetooth stack, needing workarounds. - Implemented remote connection and control of the vehicle, in a system with the wall unit tablet acting as a gateway – phones send “commands” to Firestore, which the wall unit observes and forwards over BLE, then reflects the resulting state in the cloud which in turn phones observe.Acting as a lead developer on this project, my responsibilities ranged from deciding, with the team, on the architecture, and architecting the app in clean layered MVVM, establishing best practices and guidelines, guiding the team and development, to managing deployment, processes, documentation, as well as defining and writing user feature stories and liaising with the client.

Working on one of the largest projects in the mobile space at the time in Melbourne was both challenging and rewarding. The extent of the collaboration paving way for leveraging the knowledge of people around me to solve problems was remarkable. The Suncorp app encompasses: - clean architecture with MVP; - reactive functional programming with retrofitting many different APIs; - injection using Dagger 2 for easier testing (min 80% coverage for tested classes); - Done in Kotlin, Agile environment, and following SOLID principles - continuous integration with Bitbucket and documentation using Confluence and Jira.

At RAS Trade I have developed an Android app to solve identified problems within the business flow. Catalog Sales is an Android app used by sales representatives as a catalogue of products, for taking and emailing orders, looking up customer details and location on a map and more. I have implemented: - Data persisting for offline use in SQLite using a Content Provider and Loader. - Two options for handling input for initialization and data updating - JSON or CSV (with optional hosting of the files in Dropbox cloud). - OkHttp library for getting the CSV file (plus Dropbox core library) and Apache Commons CSV library for parsing the input. - Navigation Drawer for ease of navigation of products by custom defined fields such as product category or supplier or created custom list (favourites). - Google Services – Google Maps for displaying customers with relevant customer details on a map. - Widget for accessing customers directly from the home screen.For this project I have: - Identified various problems which can be solved by applying a common technological solution. - Planned out the project and the development phases. - Argued a business case for the project to go ahead pointing out multiple benefits and savings (increased productivity and cut costs, eliminating 1-2 hours per day of manual order entering and progressing of order taking with instant availability, as well as elevating professionalism and brand image). - Designed an appealing and functional UI/UX. - Developed the app and all of its features. - Tested and deployed the product. - Liaised with all relevant stakeholders and users (owner, sales staff and customers) before, during and after the development cycle determining design, features and functionality and conducting testing and training.
