I really do admire him. He always looks at the big picture, but keeps all details in mind. He easily foresees all activities that need to be carried out, and risks that need to be addressed. We rely on him to calm our enthusiasm. When we get carried away, he is the voice of reason. I see Vladimir as a very perspective project manager. Blockchain Advisor @ Giga
    Unicef Oct 2021 - Present
I have joined the Giga team (a joint initiative of UNICEF and ITU) to help explore how blockchain technology can help connect all schools in the world to the Internet. We have launched the biggest-ever collection of NFTs which a United Nations agency has created by using extensive school data to generate beautiful visual representations of school connectivity through patchwork kingdoms. The whole collection (1000 NFTs) were sold out in a few hours, with a whitelist of 8k wallets and a proper Discord community. We have gathered around 240 $ETH through the initial sale + secondary fees, which were converted to fiat and used to help connect schools to the Internet. More details at https://www.patchwork-kingdoms.com.Also, Giga and partners have deployed the first Ethereum beacon node + validator node in a partnership with Ethereum foundation, implemented by the LaunchNodes. Validator node is getting staking rewards which are used to pay for the internet connectivity.

I have worked with UNICEF Country Office in Serbia on exploring how innovative technology can benefit children in local communities. Most of my work was focused on two sections: education and private sector partnerships.During this time, we have piloted two blockchain activities, which were aimed to explore and validate interest of the local blockchain community and companies to work with UNICEF in this domain. We were the first UNICEF office to mint an NFT collection and use it to fundraise for local projects. Following lessons learned from that activity, we have explored direct fundraising in crypto during the biggest blockchain conference in Serbia (https://tmrwconf.net/tmrw-conference-2022/), where we collected crypto donations for the children in Ukraine. dApp was deployed to automatically mint and transfer complementary NFTs to donors, showing our gratitude + a small gamification where you could collect 3 different NFTs and the final one would be airdropped to you. UNICEF's Innovation (Venture) Fund is a non-thematic, pooled fund which has been specifically designed to finance early stage, open-source technology that can benefit children. The Fund has raised almost $30 million so far and invested in 130 entities in 74 countries. The fund is focused on supporting teams who are using blockchain, UAVs, VR/AR, machine learning, quantum computing, genetic engineering, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence or nano-satellites to develop products which can help bridge the digital divide.I have promoted the fund in the countries of West Balkans, sourced teams, helped them apply to calls, and was a part of team who evaluated applications and shortlisted companies to join current cohort. So far 2 teams from West Balkan countries have received the funding from UNICEF's Innovation Fund.
  • Thomson Foundation
    Senior Business Consultant
Thomson Foundation Jun 2020 - Present
I was responsible for developing and supporting implementation of business-related projects by media outlets who were participating in Thomson programmes. My expertise in early business validation allowed me to develop methodologies and business-related templates that could be easily replicated by media outlets, helping them to streamline their operations and start developing business mindset. One of my key focus areas during my time at Thomson Media was to help develop a business mindset within the independent media industry. Focus within this industry was primarily on survival, with little attention given to developing long-term, additional and sustainable business models. To address this issue, I introduced key concepts and strategies that helped media outlets to validate their business ideas and create innovative solutions for growth. One of the most successful strategies I introduced was the "Mom Test" methodology, which was adapted for use within the media industry. This approach helped media outlets to better understand their target audience and develop business models that met their needs, ultimately leading to greater success and profitability.Another key accomplishment was the development of two online courses for media outlets. The first course, "Business Models and Monetization for Media Outlets," focused on the development of sustainable business models that could support media outlets over the long-term. The second course, "Innovations and Media Industry," focused on the latest trends and technologies within the industry, helping media outlets to stay ahead of the curve and remain competitive.Overall, I am deeply committed to helping media outlets grow and succeed through strategic business planning and innovative ideas. My experience at Thomson Media has given me a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the industry, and I am excited to continue working with media outlets to help them achieve their goals.
