As a research engineer I was involved in developing and studying new transistor and diode structures based on compound semiconductor materials. The work in the research group included literature research, developing new concepts, 2D and 3D computer simulations of new semiconductor structures, understanding of obtained results, presenting the results to the research group and at conferences. The work also included setting up and maintaining a small computer lab including networking, linux servers, remote access and simulation software all needed for the work of the research group.
